National Youth Commission (NYC) alarmed and worried about the rising number of young Filipinos who are already positive of human immunodeficiency virus or HIV.
As a result, NYC Chair Aiza Seguerra describe it as an "epidemic" where young filipinos are the top victims.
Based on data gathered by the commission, Seguerra revealed that 62 percent of new HIV cases in the country includes the youth.
According to NYC Commissioner Percival Cendaña, out of 29 HIV victims every day in the country, more than half of them are aged 15 to 24.
