NO PORK BARREL IN 2017 NATIONAL BUDGET - HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS CHAIR NOGRALES



Emphasized by the House Appropriations Committee chairman Karlo Alexei Nograles that there will be no hidden pork barrel in national fund for the next year.

It was after Sen. Panfilo Lacson appealed to President Rodrigo Duterte to veto the pork barrel items contained in the 2017 General Appropriations Act.

The House leader said he respects the senator but the senator's information is wrong that there is still inserted pork barrel in the items in national budget for next year.

He asserted that pork barrel has no place in the 2017 budget because post enactment by anyone will be not allowed.

Lower house of Congress already applied extra precautions and became meticulous on reviewing the budget submitted by Malacañang.

Moreover, Nograles assured them that the projects and programs of the government are put and will be put in details.
