President Rodrigo Duterte is already in Cambodia for a two-day state visit. The plane arrived at almost 7:00pm last night in Philippines time at capital Phnom Penh.
First on his schedule is meeting with more than 1,000 members of the Filipino community. President Duterte will also meet the King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni and the Prime Minister Hun Sen, later.
Anti-drug campaign
President Rodrigo Duterte re-opened the issue of the campaign against illegal drugs in the Philippines on his arrival speech in Cambodia.
President Duterte also defended the policemen led by CIDG Region 8 Head, Supt. Marvin Marcos who killed the alleged drug lord Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa.
According to PDU30, he should not be questioned in reassigning Marcos to the CIDG-Region 8 because it is part of his power to appoint and remove officers of the PNP and AFP as the commander in chief.
