SENATOR TITO SOTTO CRITICIZED THE UNITED NATIONS

“UN worried about d return of Death Penalty in d Phil? What about Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand? Sa Phil lang sila concerned?” Sotto tweeted.

Senator Tito Sotto, one of the politicians who wanted to reimpose the death penalty criticized the United Nations on his twitter account.

Sotto, said that UN was only concerned on the revival of the death penalty in the Philippines, while the other asian members of United Nations were already practicing death penalty for many years.

Several months ago, Sotto said that he’s neutral for  the proposal to revive the death penalty in the Philippines but now, the TV Host and Senator was determined to bring back the capital punishment in the Philippines where illegal drugs were already a very serious problem in the country.

Despite of the disapproval of the Catholic Church, the lower house was determined to pass the death penalty bill before the year ends.
United Nations warned Philippine Congress that they would violated the pact if they revive the death penalty.
