Appointed as the new AFP Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Lt. Gen. Eduardo Año.
Año will replace the retiring Gen. Ricardo Visaya during the turnover ceremony that will be held this afternoon.
According to a source from Malacañang, the President already signed the appointment papers.
Año was named as the commander general of the Philippine Army in July 2015 which he became known to arrest large communist leaders.
