'Ma Rosa' by Brillante Mendoza failed to enter into the 89th Oscar Awards for the Foreign Language Film Category.
The film did not get enough votes to enter the shortlist of Oscars nominees.
Nine were able to enter the shortlist out from 85 entries from different countries and from 9 selected only 5 are to be revealed on January 24.
The 'Ma Rosa' entry of the Philippines to the Oscars is starred by Jaclyn Jose.
