President Rodrigo Duterte demands the arrest of drivers of taxi, jeep, bus and other public transport vehicles who charges excess of passengers and does not provide proper change in fares.
According to the President, it was clearly a case of estafa or swindling.
The President said that if the drivers want an extra income, they must file for a petition in the LTFRB.
The President also requires the taxi drivers to place a large ID inside the car where their name and plate number are written, as it did in Davao City for immediate notice and information of passengers.
Meanwhile, the President also warned the robbers that pretend as a taxi driver who are typically raping and killing their passengers.
The Chief Executive admitted that the drivers sector is one of the many who supported his candidacy in the last election, but the Chief Executive assured that it would not mean that they can abuse and violate the law.
