PALACE GREETS POPE ON 80th BIRTHDAY


Malacañang sends their greetings for the celebration of the 80th birthday of Pope Francis.

Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said that for over 3 years of the Pope leading the Catholic church, he is very successful to inspire many people around the world because of his example of humility, caring for the poor and keen attention to God's mercy.

According to Andanar, Philippines is forever grateful for the historic Papal visit in 2015 where many were touched by his homily in Tacloban City that had leave a memory in the hearts of thousands Filipinos particularly the survivors of the super typhoon Yolanda.

Malacañang wishes for the good health and 'good humor' of the Pope as he led us in shaping a more humane world.

"The Palace greets Pope Francis a happy 80th birthday. For more than three years as head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis has successfully inspired people around the world with his humble example, concern for the poor, and strong attention on God’s mercy. The people of the Philippines, home of Asia’s largest Catholic population, remain grateful for the historic first visit of His Holiness to the country in 2015. His touching homily in Tacloban has left an indelible memory in the hearts of thousands, especially survivors of typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan. We wish Pope Francis good health and good humor as he continues to guide us to build a more humane world. Maligayang kaarawan sa Santo Papa!"  Malacanang greetings to Pope Francis.
