Social Security System (SSS) issued 7.2 billion pesos to fund the pension for the 13th month this year.
According to SSS Benefits Administration Division Normita Doctor, it will be available to pensioners starting from today for them to use in their celebration of the Christmas season.
Besides the partial disability pensioners who receives pension of less than 12 months, is also said to be benefited from the advantages of SSS pensioners under the Social Security and Employees' Compensation Programs or EC.
Doctor said the dependents of an SSS member will also recieve 13th month due benefits, such as a minor child of a pensioner.
