The Catholic Church strongly criticized the Department of Health of its plan to distribute condoms to students next year.
According to Fr. Gunigundo Garganta, executive secretary of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Youth, the DOH has too shallow foundation to prevent the spread of diseases like HIV and AIDS.
The church will never accept the use of condoms or any form of contraception to prevent the transmission of disease because it will especially also prevents the emergence of life.
Subsequently, the church appealed to the government to obtain more comprehensive dialogue to explain the situation for the long-term solution of the problem.
