In the end, President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he ordered the PNP Chief Ronald 'Bato' de la Rosa to return Superintendent Marvin Marcos to his duties as head of the CIDG Region 8.
It was after Marcos was placed on floating status for allegedly related to the operation of illegal drugs in Eastern Visayas.
In an interview with CNN Philippines President Duterte said that he instructed his Special Assistant to the President Bong Go to call Dela Rosa to reinstate Marcos.
The President justified that Marcos is undergoing their investigation.
The President said if ever found Marcos is involved in illegal drugs, he should face corresponding punishments but for now let's first give him an opportunity to hear the side of such a police officer.
First revealed by Senator Leila de Lima that Go called the PNP Chief to take Marcos.
Remembered, Marcos group was behind the shootout in the seaside city jail which killed Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr.
